Into Wales

We had a funny night in the Jack Mytton Inn last night!  There weren't too many patrons - just us and another boating couple from Newcastle (who trained guide dogs) plus a couple of other people who drifted in and out.  We had dinner there - we were the only people in the whole, huge restaurant !  The landlord is bit of a nutter ... a good nutter though; he kicked us out just after 11.00pm!

We only had 2 locks today so Elaine had an easy day - the second lock at New Marton had a very cute cottage and garden.

After yesterday's downpours today was very pleasant and warm.

Also passed this very nice conversion.

A few more twists and turns and we were on the Chirk aqueduct; the railway viaduct runs alongside although it is slightly higher

Yay - an official sign !

Now we are officially in Wales, moored close to Chirk Marina.  Elaine stayed on the boat and made up more batches of soap whilst I took the boys for a walk; I had to carry Bombo through a long tunnel as he was scared of the dark!

We are having a quite night in by the box ... had a few too many last night, normal service will resume tomorrow!
