The Last Hurrah Day 1 !!

Yesterday NB Yarwood left the marina heading up north ...

They were going to moor in Stone for a couple of nights so we arranged to meet at The Exchange for the usual Friday arvo early doors ...

 Orft they go ...

Today was the turn of Ray and Diane off NB Ferndale, who were leaving for uncharted waters ...

We also arranged to meet them at Stone for early doors!

Elaine said farewell to her personal nurse, who has been a fantastic help throughout her medical tribulations!  We will never forget your help xx

We were planning to go on our final cruise tomorrow but as just about everyone had left the marina we thought, 'bugger it, lets go now', so we quickly prepared the ship and slipped our mooring.

Our neighbour Joan waved us off.  She shouted something but all I caught was "...and don't 'kin well come back" !!

Away we went in perfect. calm conditions.....

.....which was a good thing as.....

......Elaine cant do anything physical.....

 .....we were single handed......

......we had all of one lock to do!

Bombo was soon into his favourite possie ...

We motored to Stone and moored stern to stern with NB Ferndale ...

Bum Chums!!

Roly and Bev from NB Klara were also moored up, so we all met up at the pub at 16.00.

We had a very good turnout ... 10 humans and 5 dogs!  The dogs were all impeccably behaved, pity about the humans.

We are really getting to the end of our stay in Stone and have very fond memories of ... The barmaids at the exchange - lovely girls and mental dog lovers!

We ended up with big Kev using up all his phone credit ordering Indian takeaway for nearly all of us!

Another excellent day with fantastic friends.
